.. so now that I am older and wiser  … a big birthday this week … i am going to blog more … yep you heard it … I get so wrapped up in having such a busy life that i use that as my excuse for everything i don’t get around to doing … but really i know that i just need to manage my time better and be disciplined …  i wake up in the morning and not want to get out of bed … soooo tired …. but hello when I exercise regularly I am ready to fly out of bed and get the day started … so why do i allow myself to not get the exercise in  ….i get stuck in routine, say I will do it tomorrow   …. well no more sista ! …. I am going to make this decade awesome ….  (not that the other ones haven’t been … it was just fun to say ) ….

So back to the birthday … I have my amazing life list …. of things I want to do …  the smallest things go on that list along with the life changing ones ….  On my list I have … have an amazing significant birthday  …. build a sand castle …. fly a kite at the beach ….  (along with about 300 other things ) and so when I woke up on that birthday to have  … a bucket of sand toys and some kites  …. I knew it was going to be amazing …  when you think husbands don’t pay attention … they sometimes too …  insert :: happy heart …   thanks babe .. love ya ..

:: i also decided that for this year i was going to do one random act of kindness on the 11th of every month ….  handing our kites to kids on the beach as we were leaving made me smile just as much as receiving them and flying them …. love that feeling ! … try it  … you can make a difference …

:: to end the day my sister and her family drove to the cottage to spend the day with us … although she made me shop on my birthday .. I hate shopping more then the dentist … and leaving me at a random location  .. i loved every minute of it …

Lots of exciting stuff is happening at the studio  … THE MOST EXCITING is that one of my most favourite people in the world  (right after my husband, kids, mom and dad, sisters, brother, sister in law, brother in laws, nieces and nephews) yep that far up on my list  .. has joined the studio as my studio manager …  I have said it before .. I love her like a sister, a best friend and now to have her and her beautiful little girl be part of my dream of making this photography thing a bigger part of my heart  is absolutely amazing …  Thank you Jo for everything you are !!!

JoAnn will be looking after all the client proofing … We want to make the whole experience for our clients to be carefree with little to no stress and we feel that once it comes to the on line proofing that it tends to get a little difficult and JoAnn will be there to help you by meeting at the studio or your home to help make your ordering experience as enjoyable as possible.

Summer sessions in the beautiful Bruce Peninsula will begin next week !!! I’m so excited … pack up the car the beach ball .. meet me anywhere between Wiarton and Tobermory and come back to the cottage  for a BBQ … that my friend is what summer is all about !!!

The Spring and Summer Big Monkey Little Monkey photos are hanging in the store on St Andrew Street and we are continuing our support in the Let Kids Play program .. please pop in to the store and vote for your favourite outfit …  a dollar vote is very much appreciated  … and the generosity has been amazing !!! …  As a little thank you  … the studio is offering a $25 credit towards a summer session with a $10 donation to let kids play (one per customer .. week night session … and  need to be held before September 1st)   … tell us your little monkeys are wearing Big Monkey Little Monkey clothes and receive a complimentary 5×7 !! … we love our local monkey store  !!!
